Aims & Objectives
- To secure and safeguard the rights and privileges of news professionals in general and Association members in particular in the discharge of their duties.
- To conduct, organize, and sponsor professional activities such as lectures, seminars, press conferences, workshops, and other events.
- To elevate the status of the journalistic profession and safeguard press freedom.
- To secure representation of the Association on official and non-official bodies to further the Association’s objectives.
- To forge and promote cooperation with news professionals in other parts of the country to further the Association’s objectives.
- To establish regional units to advance the Association’s objectives.
- To acquire assets, properties, loans, and securities in furtherance of the Association’s activities.
- To undertake, initiate, promote, and/or sponsor welfare activities for news professionals in general and Association members in particular.
- To cooperate and collaborate with other professional journalistic bodies on matters of mutual interest.
- To perform all such acts as may be considered conducive and/or incidental to the achievement of all or any of the aforementioned objectives of the Association.
